” “Each of them holds a different kind of power. I call it a pinch of magic”
Granny Widdershins

Synopsis:
Three sisters trapped by an ancient curse.
Three magical objects with the power to change their fate.
Will they be enough to break the curse?
Or will they lead the sisters even deeper into danger? …

My Review:
I LOVE this book! It’s so wonderfully immersive and imaginative and I honestly cannot wait to read the authors other work. A pinch of magic reminded me of the Enid Blyton books that I read cover to cover as a child. Whilst being nothing alike in plot, it had the same adventure, selflessness and beautiful writing of the famous five books.
The setting and the characters all felt so real! Especially Betty the middle child who takes the lead throughout the story. Her sisters, 6yr old Charlie and 16yr old Fliss also have big parts to play. However, I did wish that the beautiful boy crazy Fliss had a little more substance.
The actual story itself was full of twists and turns that shocked me and pulled me further into the tale. My one slight gripe with the story was the minor romance, whilst I normally love well… love, I didn’t feel that it added anything in this case. That said, it didn’t take away from the story either.
I honestly cannot recommend this STUNNING book enough; the cover alone makes it worth buying! But seriously, this is a refreshingly good fairy-tale that I think almost anyone would enjoy! Happy Reading Friends!

My Rating: 4.5/5
Nature Fact: Did you know that Crows have regional accents and they even change their “accent” to fit in with a new group.
