Most of us have been social distancing/isolating this week and we’re likely to have many more similar weeks ahead. With that in mind I’ve thought of some fun bookish boredom busters to help get you through the isolation period.
1. Bookish Bingo
This is a great way to get through your TBR and get crafty, If you dont want to make your own there’s plenty online! I’ll link a couple below.
2. Audio books
I have been absolutely loving audio books whilst i work from home and its definitely helping my Good reads challenge progress. Mobile Apps Libby and Borrowbox are great for free audio books of new and popular novels. I’ve recently been listening to Pride by Ibi Zoboi and The Magic of Tidying up by Marie Kondo.
3. Self Help / Hobby Books
With so much free time on our hands it makes sense to try and do something productive so that when we emerge from our homes we can feel like we used out time wisely. I;’m currently trying to keep up with my workout routine and trying to get back into watercolour painting.
4. Book Unhaul
Don’t look at me like that. I’m sorry, I know books are our most treasured possessions that we guard carefully but if you have a look on your shelves there may be the odd one that doesn’t bring you the joy it should.
5. Book shelf Reorganisation
Its so fun to change up our bookshelves, you get to rediscover old favourites and freshen up the layout giving the whole room a boost, it also feels super productive, which is a major plus when staying at home.
I’d love to hear what you’ve been doing to keep the boredom at bay? Of course there is absolutely nothing wrong with staying in bed and watching Netflix! So don’t feel guilty for taking the time you need to get though this pandemic. Keep safe.
